About our client
Our client a successful electrical and hydraulic engineering company based in Kidderminster is seeking an Warehouse Supervisor to join their company on a permanent basis. The purpose of the role is to supervise the warehouse and performance of each function compromised of direct picking, international picking and inventory. Responsible for ensuring the KPI targets are met and communicated to the Warehouse Manager and constantly seeking to improve existing systems and processes by adopting a continuous improvement culture within the team. Enforcing and championing Health and safety standards across the site, directing, motivating and engaging with all direct reports.

Commutable distances to Droitwich, include, Kidderminster, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Stourport and the surrounding areas.

Role Requirements
  • Plan and allocate resource to pick and ship consignments in line with the parameters set
  • Complete daily briefs with the team and advise them to the daily targets
  • Monitor on time in full (OTIF) report and feedback improvement mechanisms
  • Implement corrective actions following and monitoring mechanisms supporting continuous improvement
  • Investigate and conduct root cause analysis on complaints that are raised
  • Complete the actions for the Fabric and Hygiene audits that are undertaken
  • Ensure racking inspections are completed promptly and results communicated to the quality Systems Coordinator
  • Ensure all work instructions are fit for purpose, up to date and trained across all team members
  • Conduct probationary reviews with new starters
  • Manage the MHE equipment and supplier with regards to routine maintenance
  • Complete monthly analysis on complaints received
  • Be the contact point for Warehouse, Marketing & Customer Service
  • Actively support projects relating to warehouse efficiency improvements
  • Ensure stock management is managed in accordance to internal processes and investigation completed where necessary
  • Continually review internal processes to increase accuracy, efficiency and overall performance
  • Actively support the H & S committee and encourage active participation
  • Attend meetings as and when requested
  • Be responsible for the update of the KPI and monthly inventory figures, providing an explanation of results
  • Contribute to monthly staff meetings, updating the team of progress and new initiatives/products

Successful Candidate
  • Motivate and Develop your team in line with departmental objectives
  • Personally, develop your team through engaging personal development plans and subsequent support
  • Support any future aspirations of team members through assisting with PDP's with your line manager
  • Monitoring performance of the team and highlighting any nonperforming issues to your line manager
  • Support direct reports through 1-1's and guidance
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally, written with the ability to work well at all levels and develop working relationships with peers.
  • Have an excellent eye for detail
  • Must be able to use own initiative and have a proven capability in prioritising
  • Be flexible and committed in approach to the needs of the company
