Job Description

My client, a leading 3PL is seeking 2 x First Line Managers for their site in Welham Green, Hertfordshire.

Hours & Shift Available: 1 x Night Shift 10pm to 6am (any 5 nights out of 7) and 1 x late shift 2pm to 10pm (any 5 out of 7 days)

Salary: £30,000.00

Purpose of the role:

To coordinate and provide support and information on the running of a safe and efficient operation, working within clear guidelines to help achieve the operational standards.

Person Spec
Seeking experienced First Line Managers/Supervisor or Team Leader level ready for their next move.
Support the team to reach KPI's and performance.
Support the team to follow Safety Standards and to help reduce or eliminate health and safety related risks
Coordinate the team as required to apply the Safety Standards
Undertake basic low level incident investigations within the work place and promptly escalate issues of non compliance to safety regulations and procedures
Have clear understanding of Objectives & KPIs applicable to your role and to your team
Communicate productivity and direct hours targets to your team ensuring they have a clear understanding of what is expected from them - including communication to new hires
Assign tasks according to daily resource planning
Track team and individual performance of your teams.
Ensure employees are registering the indirect hours properly,
Track attendance and overtime of your employees
Track the % of errors and damage to goods
Have clear understanding of Performance Tracking Tool (data system) applicable to your role, ensuring performance is tracked properly
Prepare and Participate on shift handover with your colleague of previous shift
Conduct and Control all weekly performance reviews with your team
Conduct pre-shift meetings with your team, ensuring clear communication regarding site's performance
Track KPI results
Identify and Document Kaizen (improvement opportunities)
Control your operational processes (inbound, picking, outbound, etc), fulfilling service level agreed and deadlines established
Support and coordinate the team to drive an engagement culture at the site, including contributing to EOS opportunities and activities
Follow HR processes and tools to encourage and support the growth and development of individuals
Follow defined processes to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and local legal obligations
Liaise with suppliers
