Job Description

Pertemps are currently looking for experienced van drivers in the location of Oxford on an ad-hoc basis to cover holidays, sickness and periodic increases in demand.

You will be required to complete security vetting prior to the start of the assignment which will require a full five year address history, a full checkable three year employment history, with any gaps fully accounted for and criminal record check.

This is an Ad-Hoc position therefore you will need to be available for anything between one and five days per week. Adequate notice will be given for most requirements, however on occasion you will need to be available at short notice to cover sickness.

Hours of work will normally be eight hours per day, any day per week, between the hours of 07:00am-20:00pm.

Hourly pay rate £9.05 per hour / overtime paid at £12.85 per hour and then further overtime £16.66 based on which day worked.

Weekly pay

This van driver position is to carry out stock movements from site to site around Oxford and also further afield to collect from suppliers. Manual handling is a major part of this job role and therefore this is a physically demanding job.
The vehicles to be driven range from small Berlingo style vans to medium sized Transit style vans.

To be considered for this position you must:
Have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Have no more than six penalty points for insurance purposes.
Have proven experience driving vans.
Have a valid DVLA issued driving licence with Category B
