As Technical Engineer within our T.E.D (Tools & Engineering Distributors) business, you’ll join a driven and successful sales team to deliver sustainable and profitable sales growth covering a national remit in Ireland (NI and ROI).
This is very much a relationship driven account manager role to grow our cutting tools technical sell and build our reputation even further in the market, demonstrating the value your technical expertise will bring to our existing and prospect customer base by sourcing the best tools for job requirements, and providing different options.
You’ll manage your diary accordingly, as you’ll be out visiting customers and suppliers for most of the week.

Your new role
You’ll target specific customers through continuous development of both new and existing assigned profile Cutting Tool end user accounts; assigning our value proposition to customers’ needs and providing technical support to customers and colleagues in their assigned area.
You will create and execute a sales plan to develop Cutting Tool sales growth and delivering value to our customers managing a portfolio of around 60 Cutting Tool accounts. Working with our National Accounts team to deliver cost saving strategies and setting an appropriate and structured call plan within Salesforce, with clear objectives.
You’ll need to ensure customers are kept up to date with new product innovations and associated benefits as well as analysing sales trends to understand customer performance, demonstrating proactively how we have and can add value.
What you'll need to succeed – the ideal candidate
A time served Engineer with all round Metal Working knowledge with focussed expertise in one of the following key product areas: Conventional and CNC Machining, Drilling, Milling, Turning, Tapping and reaming.
Ideally, you will have proven sales experience. However, this is not essential but highly desirable. If you are able to demonstrate customer focus, effective communication, interpersonal listening and influencing skills in addition to business, and commercial acumen then we are interested to hear from you.
To be successful in this role you’ll need to be driven and highly motivated, results-orientated with a tenacious attitude.
