Job Description

Support the backlog of Work Package's (WP) to reduce to a more manageable level across the estate. This role will assist the WP team with project management related tasks on the delivery of WP's and NHS experience is desirable although not essential

Must have experience of:

 Extensive knowledge of specialist areas (e.g. Project and Programme Management), acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training.
 Evidence of continuing professional development; i.e.
- membership of relevant professional body (e.g. APM),
- relevant professional qualifications (PRINCE 2 / MSP)
 Experience of managing IT programmes to deliver both IT infrastructure and business change, gained in a complex environment.

 Experience of procurement and 3rd party suppliers.
 Management of Programme Budgets in accordance with organisation standards and policies
 Must be able to provide and receive highly complex information, negotiate with senior stakeholders on difficult and controversial issues, and present complex and sensitive information to large and influential groups
 Negotiate on difficult / controversial issues including project scope and budget,
 Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands
 Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium and long-term timeframes
and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly
 Must be able to prioritise own work effectively and be able to direct activities of others. Experience of managing and motivating a team.
 Must be able to use initiative to decide relevant actions and make recommendations to Sponsor/ Manager, with the aim of improving deliverables and compliance to policies.
 Ability to travel and work in a variety of settings.
 Work towards reducing the WP backlog and provide reporting as required.
