Responsible for Supporting the Quality Assurance Manager in the daily operations of the Quality Assurance Department to achieve the quality, ethical and technical objectives of the company.
Liaise with internal departments on the Design through to delivery and after sales support, on quality and customer needs.
Maintain and develop the product/legal compliance requirements of the company and customers
Promote Quality awareness and at all times throughout the business
Support the Quality Assurance Manager directly as and when required.
Supervise / support Quality staff and resource allocation in line with the departmental Managers objectives.
Implement APQP (Advanced Project Quality Planning), Range Reviews, Risk assessments, Supplier reviews, test and Inspection reviews to national and company standards.
Responsible for the management and supervision of Key accounts for Quality, Technical and Ethical requirements
Compilation of technical and testing data/ drawings /diagrams etc. to compile against company specific technical files.
Review approval and rectification instructions for Far East Inspections prior to shipment release.
Liaise with company Far East QA ensuring appropriate utilization to meet both product and customer requirements
Ensure Supplier Quality Assurance Systems are implemented, monitored and audited.
Liaise with approved testing laboratories in resolving compliance issues for both company and supplier.
Review / research current and developing compliance trends in manufacture / testing etc.
Assist with merchandising and support of all company exhibitions and showrooms as and when required.
To be a successful Quality Technician you will have the following skills and experience:
Experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance environments of retail and manufacturing.
Knowledge of general manufacturing processes
Organization of rework /corrective action operations for products / materials
Commercial awareness and activity control in line with customer objectives.
Support in dealing with Customer / consumer complaints and returns not limited to Identification, segregation, review and reporting, recommendation for improvements or disposition.
5 years in a similar Quality function
Experience and a thorough understanding of current Quality management and control systems. Additional knowledge of product testing and approval desirable -Exposure
Minimum Degree Level in an Engineering/Quality discipline.
Full driving license essential
