Role: Quality Manager
Location: Swindon

An exciting opportunity has arisen with my client. They are a globally recognised manufacturing company that are offering a stable and lucrative career in their company. They require a Production Technician to join their team in Swindon

Role Definition

*Coordination and control of key areas within the business which include customer support, supplier control and Internal supplier quality concerns
*Overseeing the Measurement, PQS and Supplier teams
*Ensuring customer requirements are met and internal requests, supporting analysis are completed to schedule
*Produce internal and supplier Parts Quality Standards
*All customer and supplier issues are fully investigated and completed in a timely/satisfactory manner
*Development of the Section business plan to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met in line with the Department business plan
*Effective liaison with support Departments and external organisations to ensure achievement of Department KPIs
*Maintaining a positive working atmosphere through effective management of Associates including attendance, discipline, health & safety and policy compliance
*Development and training of Associates with a general focus on continuous improvement of systems of work
*Control and develop the Section budget in line with Department activities, ensuring satisfactory analysis is conducted

Experience Required

*A sound working knowledge of key quality principles (e.g. 5Y, 8D, PPAP, FMEA)
*A working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 is highly desirable
*Previous experience of driving a quality function within the manufacturing industry
*Confident and able to communicate across all levels of the business in addition to liaising with customers and suppliers
*A proven record of achievement through effective people management and systems of work
*Understanding of technical drawings and specifications

*A proven quality professional with a focus on continuous improvement
*Excellent communication skills
*Computer literate with the ability to produce presentations to a high standard
*Strong problem solving skills
*Some travel will be required so a valid driving licence is essential


*Salary £38,000 - £43,000
*Benefit £120pm after completion of probation
*23 days paid holiday (Pro Rata) increasing by one day for each year of service (up to a maximum of 27 days
*39 hours per week - 08.00 - 16.20 (16.10 on Friday)
