An interesting opportunity has become available for an experienced Quality Inspector to work with a unique and well established manufacturing engineering company who are viewed globally for being at the forefront of their field.
Overview of role:
As Quality Inspector you will be:
*Using fixed or variable measuring instruments to inspect parts, products and/or processes and ensure conformance with standards.
*Carrying out checks for irregularities and defects.
*Compares products with parts lists or sample models to ensure completion of assembly.
*Verifies specified dimensions on products or materials.
*Applying basic skills with the opportunity to develop advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position or specialization.
*Resolving routine questions and problems and referring more complex issues to higher levels.
*Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be following standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.
*Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
*Approve in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests
*Approve finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
*Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and scrap; inputting data into quality database.
*Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with plant regulations.
*Update job knowledge by participating / cross training with veteran inspectors
*Ability to read technical publications / Prints.
*Knowledge of standard inspection equipment measuring allowable acceptance (.00005 to .001)
Quality Inspector Skills and Qualifications:
H/S or equivalent; being proficient in mathematical situation with an analytical aptitude.
Analyzing Information, Reporting Results, Documentation Skills, Promoting Process Improvement, Safety, Understanding Manufacturing Methods and Procedures.

Working hours: 39 hours per week.
Times: 7:30 - 16:30 pm Monday-Thursday with half hour lunch and 7:30 to 12:30 Friday.
Overtime maybe required during busy periods.
