Position: Quality Engineer
Salary: Up to £45,000 based upon experience
Duties for the Quality Engineer will include:
O Understanding the process constraints and operating rules of the value stream covered in the role and participate in problem-solving exercises to improve flow where relevant.
O Take ownership of problems assigned to the quality function for resolution
O Create control plans, inspection plans, SPC charts and any other relevant documentation required
O Develop robust, practical inspection methodologies
O Take accountability for FAIR's
O Implement/manage problem solutions through working with external suppliers, working with customers and completing PFMEA activities
O Participate in internal and external audits, taking account of outcomes from the audit process and working to implement solutions where gaps are identified
The successful Supplier Quality Engineer will have the following skills/experience:
O Experience of working in a Quality role within the Aerospace Industry is essential, ideally, with at least 3 years' experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
O An understanding of LEAN manufacturing philosophy
O An understanding of AS9100, AS9102 and the related quality systems
O Experience of preparing Fair Article Inspection Reports (FAIR's)
O An understanding of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA
