An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Quality Control Laboratory Technician to join a leading manufacturing company, specialising in the development of innovation materials for a variety of high profile industries.
A Quality Control Laboratory Technician is, to ensure the quality of all goods entering and leaving the company and to conduct and complete reasonable tasks requested by the directors as part of the responsibilities.
As a Quality Control Laboratory Technician, your duties will be:
Carry out project/ development work when assigned.
Prepare pre-shipment samples and ensure accurate documentation.
Testing of incoming materials, as and when required.
Issue of accurate process adjustment instructions to production.
Complete inspection and test procedures, as specified in the product manufacturing instructions, and complete the respective quality documents in a timely manner.
Liaise with Works QC Chemist, QC Laboratory Manager and/ or Managing Director for technical matters and concessions.
Immediately report any incident which the management need to address using the appropriate reporting system systems in place.
Deputise for QC works chemist in their absence.
An ideal Quality Control Laboratory Technician will hold the following skills and experiences:
Familiarity with Chemistry Testing Techniques.
Experience in working in a busy industrial Chemical Laboratory.
Be able to analyse facts and make appropriate decisions.
Practical Hands on attitude.
Annual Leave entitlement is 25 days per year based on the shift of 5 days per week (full time contract)
Eligibility for BUPA membership on completion of Probation Period
Automatic enrolment into Company pension scheme after 3 months - Contribution: Employer 3%, Employee 3%
Death in Service Insurance - 2 x salary
The successful candidate will go through an initial training period of 12 weeks at the rate of £10.61 working days 60 hour weeks. Once successfully completed, any hours worked over 48 will be paid at the competitive rate of £15.93.
