Role: QA Director (Eastern Hemisphere)
Location: Newcastle/Gateshead + Global travel
Industry: Oil and Gas
Salary: Up to £80,000
Benefits: Circa £6000 Car allowance + Benefits

This is a rare opportunity for a Senior QA professional with outstanding leadership qualities to join this global company in the as the Primary QA function across a company division.

Whilst the role will be predominantly based out of the plant in North West England, there will be a requirement as Director of Eastern Hemisphere Operations for travel (Up to 50%) between operational sites in Europe, Africa and Asia.

You will be working closely with quality assurance, production, management, engineering personnel and suppliers, you will aim to minimise quality issues across the division's product lines.

As the Primary point of contact you will be working very closely with Divisional Operations Managers to develop QMS programs to be implemented at various locations. As a follow up you will be required to train senior figures and further develop and establish inspection protocols, define sampling procedures and determine equipment and mechanisms to be used in the testing processes.

As a generalist overview you will be expected to lead and undertake the following tasks:

*Overseeing the management of personnel and activities for assigned departments.
*Providing strategic direction and development, implementing and monitoring the goals, objectives, priorities and procedures relating to the organizational unit.
*Developing and administering the budget.
*Championing continuous improvement efforts
*Initiating and implementing quality improvement activities to raise performance of company product lines.
*Ensure all required compliance audits are performed, gaps are communicated, and plans implemented;
*Overseeing and conducting internal audits ensuring the HSE MS meets corporate compliance.
*Ensure the incident management process of the organisation is effectively managed.
*Serve as primary quality control resource for problem of identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
*Develop procedures for process control, improvement, testing and inspection.

You will need to be able to demonstrate a successful track record with experience or qualification in the following areas:

*Working knowledge of industry standards API, ISO, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, NACE, NORSOK, PED
*Familiar with ISO and API standards pertaining to quality
*Lead Auditor Qualification
*Leadership Qualities
*Successful Senior Managerial experience
