*Supporting operations through effective stock control and leading in stock takes
*Supporting Procurement with purchasing support
*Placing and progressing purchase orders to ensure on time delivery
*Building relationships and supporting with the management of suppliers
*Ensuring the continuity of supply, developing a zero stock out process without over stocking
*Responsible for the administration and reporting, including OTIF, stock levels, slow/obsolete stocks, stock takes and other generic procurement processes
*Supporting with some contract and price negotiation
Skills & Experience:
*Experience within a Purchasing/Buyer role is essential, ideally within a fast paced manufacturing or production environment
*Experience of managing stock takes, supporting stock management and successful negotiation with suppliers is an advantage
*Superb communication and people skills are essential
*IT literate with experience of working with MRP systems
The successful candidate will be analytical in their approach, with the ability to anticipate issues and problem solve. You will be proactive and will have excellent planning and organisational skills
Hours of Work: Full Time, Monday-Friday.
My client is offering a competitive salary of up to £24,000 per annum, depending on experience.
