The Company

We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist for our client who specialise in the, repair and distribution of high tech electronic equipment for major contracts/customers.

Job Purpose

As a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist you will be responsible for managing the planning and forecasting for a range of parts to optimise inventory and availability in a fast- moving electronics service environment.

As a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist , your duties will be:

" Controlling stock levels in relation to product support lifecycles.
" Manage and minimise excess and obsolete stock to target levels by identifying and managing safety stock levels for each commodity and providing root cause and corrective action analysis.
" Minimise "stock outs" to meet customer performance delivery targets.
" Identify and report both internally and externally risk associated with product portfolio.
" Liaise effectively with operations overseas to maximise efficiency and workflows.
" Select best method of forecasting and recommended purchases to achieve optimum inventory levels.

An ideal Purchasing & Inventory Specialist will hold the following skills and experiences:

" Qualifications which show a strong analytical or mathematical background.
" Experience in planning and forecasting systems.
" High level of IT literacy including strong Excel skills.
" Excellent communication skills.
" Passionately focused on the customer.
" Experience communicating with key suppliers and customers in a regular basis.

Additional Information:

In return, you will receive a salary of £25,000- £27,000 (DOE)per annum. You will also receive excellent benefits, such as; 30 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) with 1 day extra every 2 years of service being accrued up to a maximum of 35 days, employees can also apply for funding towards an activity which aids your development i.e. gym membership, language classes, IT courses etc, excellent pension, sick pay and childcare voucher schemes are offered.
