Purchase Ledger Clerk
Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk
Hours: Monday to Friday / 9am - 6pm
Location: Exeter, Outskirts
We are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a busy purchase ledger function part of a small friendly team team based on the outskirts of Exeter. You will be required undertake all aspects of the purchase ledger within a growing business with excellent opportunities for progression as the business expands.

As the role develops you will have the opportunity to get involved in other areas of the accounting function.
*Processing supplier invoices.
*Checking and reconciliation of supplier statements.
*Matching of invoices to delivery notes and purchase orders.
*Efficient resolution of invoice queries, liaising internally with colleagues and external suppliers as required.
*Preparation of the month end payment file for the Finance Director.
*Administration of the purchase documentation including filing and scanning of invoices and statements.
*Carry out other ad-hoc duties necessary for the smooth running of the purchase ledger.
Skills and Experience Required:
*Bookkeeping experience, ideally within a purchase ledger function of an SME.
*Ability to input invoices efficiently and accurately.
*Experience of Sage/Access Dimensions.
*Competent IT skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
*Good interpersonal and communication skills.
