This is a great opportunity to join our teams contributing to the delivery of both accredited and non-accredited group work programmes. You will play an integral part our work with service users, this will include taking a central role in their supervision and the delivery of group work programmes. Band 3 - £23,039 to £27,784 (plus unsocial hours payment) per annum or pro-rated for part time position.
27 days holiday + 8 bank holidays (pro-rated for part time position), defined contribution pension scheme, company sick pay, group discount scheme.
3 positions available - 2 full time and 1 part time (18.5 hours per week)
There is an expectation that operational staff work some evenings and weekends to enable service users to be supervised without jeopardising their employment.
This is to fill immediate vacancies and to support our succession planning.Main responsibilities
As a Programme Tutor you will be required to prepare and deliver individual and group interventions to service users. Programmes tackle Drink/Driving, Offending Behaviour, Violence, Substance misuse and other key causes of crime.
The preparation of reports and other documentation is a key requirement of the role and you will be required to liaise with other departments within Norfolk & Suffolk CRC to ensure continuity for service users during their supervision.
Applications are particularly welcome from individuals who are accredited to deliver any of the following group work programmes;
- Building Better Relationships programme (BBR)
- Thinking Skills programme (TSP)
- Drink Impaired Drivers programme (DID)
- Resolve programme
- Building Skills for Recovery Programme.
Full training will be provided and you will be required to pass specific training in order to be confirmed in post.Ideal candidate
- Demonstrate effective communication skills both in a group and on an individual basis
- Ensure the key principles of the programme are understood, delivered and the integrity of accredited programme is maintained
- Have the ability to respond appropriately to challenge, conflict or questions within the programme environment
- Demonstrate good verbal, numeracy and written skills
- Be flexible and show initiative
- Demonstrate a strong team ethic.
- Have experience of working with a variety of people who have experienced a range of social/personal difficulties
- Have a basic knowledge of the Criminal Justice System
The role of Norfolk & Suffolk CRC is to rehabilitate service users, reduce reoffending and protect the public and we are one of six CRCs operated by Sodexo Justice Services in the UK. We work with service users both in the community and in custody to deliver the sentence of the court, to rehabilitate them and to provide a range of programmes and interventions to turn their lives around. We deliver effective offender management and rehabilitation services to low and medium risk service users and our highly skilled staff work in a range of disciplines to make a real difference.
