Part of a major international group, this organisation has a volume manufacturing facility producing high value products for the automotive industry. The plant is currently undergoing a period of transformation and capital investment to ensure the business remains competitive in an ever changing environment. As a result an experienced Production Supervisor is sought to assist with the continually improvement of business performance and customer satisfaction.

Job title: Production Team Leader
Hours: 39 hours 3 shift rotation (6-2, 2-10, 10-6) : Mon-Friday
Industry: FMCG / automotive manufacturing
Location: Dewsbury, commutable from Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Leeds, Halifax areas
Salary: to £30000 + benefits

Reporting directly to the Production Manager you will be responsible leading and co-ordinating the operating teams on day-to-day activities to deliver quality products meeting the businesses standards whilst contributing to continuous improvement activities in line with the transformation plan.

Key Responsibilities:
o Working on a rotating three shift pattern, ensure operators work constantly to the operational business standards while achieving plan and KPI targets
o Train and develop production team members and new starters in line with the business standards
o Lead by example in an open communicative, motivational style while respecting the requirements and needs of the individual and customers, supporting online activities
o Maintain the business standards with reference to company Production Systems, Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM), and 5S House Keeping
o Ensure corrective actions arising from external and internal sources are resolved through the findings of the actual route cause and are implemented and closed out
o Monitor and discuss any daily operational EHS issues that may arise and escalate as necessary

Qualifications and Aptitudes:
To be successful in this role you will already have several years experience working within a high volume manufacturing plant in a Production Team Lead, Supervisory and Production Management capacity and will see this a tremendous opportunity to establish and influence the technical direction within a fast paced production plant.
o Fast pace continuous manufacturing process expertise, such as plastics, powder, textile, packaging, FMCG or Automotive industrial sector
o Previous experience of managing teams in fast pace production / factory environment
o Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, health & safety and environmental standards
o Demonstrate good mechanical aptitude and problem solving tools skills
o Lead by example, encouraging team work and motivation to continually improve processes
