Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen with my client a successful automated manufacturer based in Gloucester are looking for a Production Planner.

The role of Production Planner will include the following duties

*Agree Product lead times and Assembly times with Production Management and load the dates and times in to IFS to create MRP demand.
*Evaluate material availability and liaise with Procurement to accelerate parts that are due to be delivered outside of the MRP required date.
*Review BOM accuracy with Production team and generate ECR's to review and correct identified discrepancies.
*Coordinate the activities of assigned Progress Chaser to schedule kitting priorities to ensure kit availability in line with the requirements of the production teams.
*Ensure parts are reserved in IFS in accordance to the build plan sequence.
*Provide weekly detailed analysis to senior management on parts availability for current and future production build. Ensure Live Shortage Reports are maintained accurately.
*Ensure all new parts have correct inventory bay location assigned prior to receipt.
*Set up and maintain Production Kanban bins (stocking levels/locations/replenishment) and turn on Vendor Management of the process where possible and cost effective.
*Perform monthly inventory analysis to identify slow moving and obsolete parts in stock.
*Updates Planning KPI boards weekly to provide feedback to the Supply Chain team as parts of the weekly KPI review process.
*Develop effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholder, customers and suppliers to ensure best outcomes
*Embrace the values and live these by example, consistent with corporate policies/procedures and legal obligations, both in the UK and overseas.
*Ensure that all Company policies and procedures are adhered to within operations area including Berkshire Hathaway's ethical policies.
You may also be required to undertake additional tasks or duties from time to time and which are reasonably within your capabilities.

Person Specification

*Ideally 3-5 years of Manufacturing Planning (MRP) experience
*Excellent communication skills at all levels.
*Good knowledge of Excel and general IT skills.
*Good organisational abilities and be able to work with minimum supervision.
*Flexibility to switch between different tasks quickly and efficiently.
*Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements.
*Resilient under day to day pressures of work.
