Position: Production Engineer
Working as part of a team with your own areas of responsibility, the Production Engineer will solve problems, drive improvements, deliver projects and manage new products into production. The right person will find this role stimulating and interesting and you will be stretched and challenged.
o Provide day to day support to the production process.
o Continuous improvement activities and problem solving activities using lean tools and techniques.
o Own and deliver projects ranging from tooling and jigs and fixtures to high-tech production equipment, new processes and bringing new products into production.
o Manage product changes and introduce new products into the business (NPI).
o Create equipment and tooling specifications
o Implement and generate new working methods to improve manufacturing capability and conduct capability analysis to ensure this is being maintained
The Production Engineer should be qualified to at least HNC/D level in a mechanical or electrical engineering subject and have experience of production engineering / manufacturing engineering, ideally in an assembly or component production environment.
You will be self-motivated and able to manage yourself and others as you will be contributing to cross-functional engineering teams in order to solve problems and implement developments and improvements.
Your engineering ability and understanding is important but equally so is your communication skills and ability to manage projects and people to achieve your objectives.
You will enjoy working with a highly motivated team at an exciting time in the company's development, contributing towards the manufacture of high quality products in the UK.
The salary for this role is dependent on experience and skills but can be paying up to £31,000 per annum.
