Salary: £50,000 combined salary + Bonus


Hours: 40hrs per week  


Shifts: 5 days a week, mixture of shifts across weekdays/weekends in line with business needs.

The site is a well-established and long standing business (40 years continuous trading) with a strong emphasis on traditional values, food from freshly prepared local produce, in both restaurant and bar, and a friendly relaxing atmosphere. The site also comprises of excellent character features and beautifully furnished guest rooms.

The venue specialises in catering for group bookings such as walking groups, cycle clubs and in particular classic car clubs, hosting in excess of 20 different clubs every year.

We’re looking to recruit an experienced couple with a proven track record, who can offer a long term commitment. Taking over the responsibility for the day to day running of the food and beverage and letting operation, whilst also contributing to the development of the business moving forward.
 
The Head Chef will take responsibility for complete management of the kitchen operation working with a team of three others. Their partner will take responsibility for the restaurant, bar and housekeeping operation. Both positions will be hands on working as part of their team and leading from the front, both applicants should therefore be team players with the ability to get the most out of their staff.


 Required Skills – Chef
  • Menu development, costing and kitchen profitability.
  • Manage all food ordering, stock rotation, quality control and minimise wastage
  • Good organisational skills and ability to implement systems.
  • Recruiting, planning rotas, directing and training of staff.
  • Familiarity with current food hygiene, COSH and allergen regulations and associated record keeping
  • Calm and mature manner and ability to work under pressure
