Job Description

Job Purpose

An IT Support Analyst is required to work on assignment at National Grid, supporting the transition of multiple projects into production by ensuring that they are appropriate with business requirements and priorities. Predominantly, this will include supporting a project to separate the company's IT support functions so that they are aligned to the correct areas.

The successful Analyst will work closely with Service Transition stakeholders, project and programme management teams.

This is a 2 month assignment, with the potential to extend further.

Role Responsibilities of the IT Support Analyst will include:

Ensure service assets are appropriately updated and managed to support the smooth transition and/or decommissioning of services.
Procure and report information required to support the transition process.
Provision of information and reporting both ad-hoc and routine as required.
Administration and updating of knowledge base articles.
Engage all relevant Service Transition Stakeholders as required to facilitate the completion of assigned tasks.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

1st or 2nd line support experience.
Experience providing routine and ad-hoc service transition related reporting.
Experience managing, creating and updating service assets and fulfilling reporting requests in a project environment in ServiceNow.
Experience of working with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Experience of ITIL Service Delivery and Service Management best practice.
Utilities experience highly beneficial.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

IT Service Management, IT Service Delivery, IT Asset Configuration Management.
Change Management, Project management.
Knowledge of the ServiceNow service management tool and Service Asset administration.
Confident using Microsoft packages.
Excellent team player, ideally with experience of working with matrix management.
Good analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication, in both verbal and written English.

Key Performance Indicators for the role:

Contributes to the effective and smooth transition and/or decommissioning of services minimising the impact to BAU services.
Transition Stakeholder Satisfaction relating to assigned tasks
