Inventory First Line Manager
Location: Wellingborough
Salary: £31,000.00


My client is seeking an Inventory First Line Manager to manage the day to day activity within the department along with ordering of the contracted stock keeping units and maintain a demand availability of at least 99.50%. In addition to ensuring clear communication is maintained with internal and external stakeholders and customers and to ensure all promotional & change activity is planned and executed within the required timescales.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
Develop efficient and effective administration processes to support the depots in delivering key KPI's and ensuring specific function related KPI's are accurately recorded and managed
Ensure that the team have a strong foundation of first line management via one to one meetings, KPI measurements and relevant analysis and trackers and communication inclusive of system support & stock integrity; this includes maintaining the data integrity on the system and communicating of errors and issues by root cause analysis.
Coordinating of administration resources within the department, and ensure personnel are available in line with the business and customer requirements
Capacity management - effective flow of intake to ensure operations can effectively manage their resource and space, pro-actively manage stock for a JIT process plus safety stock to ensure 99.5% availability at all times.
Analysis, review and proactively management of all product lines, inclusive of planning and forecasting based on sales trends and order patterns are fully managed and communication to all relevant customer, suppliers and other stakeholders.
Customer engagement - review supplier performance by providing regular and meaningful data with up to date matrix/league tables and feedback.
Supplier Management - build effective working partnership with monthly/quarterly one to one reviews with customer and suppliers with relevant reports/data and league tables on performance, communication of new products, obsolete lines and ensure stock availability is fulfilled to set KPI targets.
Ensure full audit process compliance within Inventory functions.
Delivery of effective and regular employee communications, manage employee relations matters. Complete all department associated appraisals -

Your Skills and Experience:

o FMCG / food/ Retail or similar background, Good understanding of the operation
o Leadership experience
o Strong communicator, proven excellent written, literacy and numeracy skills
o Knowledge of the legal requirements applicable to HACCP regulations
o Ability to perform under pressure and use initiative
o Organised and methodical with team focus
o Customer Focused
o Excellent MS Office skill base intermediate/advanced in Excel
