THE ROLE
A Healthcare Inquests Solicitor is sought to join the expanding Regulatory Healthcare Advisory team based in Manchester.
The Regulatory Healthcare Advisory team is very diverse, offering a broad range of expert advice to organisations and individuals in relation to health-based regulatory matters and proceedings.
They have an enviable client base, from NHS Trusts to private healthcare providers and cover inquests, Court of Protection applications, Mental Health Tribunals and other regulatory challenges; including advising on and defending prosecutions by Care Quality Commission and providing advice on a wide range of other health and care issues such as consent and confidentiality, capacity and best interests and discharge processes.
The role will primarily focus on managing a caseload of inquest files for various NHS clients, care homes and other organisations, and possibly some of the broader healthcare advisory work.
THE CANDIDATE
A solicitor 3-7pqe you will have advocacy experience and a willingness to further develop advocacy skills
You will also ideally have
* Court of Protection experience
* Mental health experience
* Regulatory defence experience
You should be able to demonstrate:
* Healthcare and Inquest experience as well as regulatory defence experience.
