The Company:
An established professional association have a permanent Head of IT position newly available.
The company are based in the Centre of Bristol not far from Temple Meads, on brilliant transport links.

The position is within a lovely open plan office with a roof terrace which has fantastic views of Bristol so you will be based in excellent surroundings.
You will be working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm (or 8am - 4pm could be considered) and receive a salary circa £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus the above benefits.
The Job:
Managing the Associations IT department, IT infrastructure and applications. Working with the Senior Management team, the Head of IT will have a strategic responsibility for IT planning, budgets, and projects, together with the responsibility for delivery of a high quality IT service to staff. You will need to be an expert with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Your main duties will include Strategic Planning - creating a vision for IT within the organisation, communicate it to employees and lead and motivate the team to achieve the vision.
-Develop an IT strategy which identifies the future direction of the use of technology within the organisation to drive efficiencies. Research options for future IT development.
- Provide advice to the Senior Management Team on the application and use of IT to provide excellent services, working closely with them to overcome business challenges with the use of technology.
Identify solutions and opportunities to improve organisational performance. Evaluate business requirements, prepare and present proposals, design and deliver solutions to meet objectives.
Project Management - be a champion of change, optimising current IT solutions whilst promoting innovative solutions to operational challenges. Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities. Prepare and implement project plans to achieve the desired outcomes.
Infrastructure and application management - ensure IT infrastructure and applications are effectively maintained, managed and secured. Be responsible for managing the development of business applications including Dynamics 365
Supplier Management -lead the procurement of new business applications as required, negotiate, manage and monitor contracts for IT services provided by third parties ensuring effective service delivery. Manage the relationships with contractors and suppliers.
Leadership and Management - Be the senior technical manager and to contribute to the development, implement and review of corporate strategies, project plans, policies and procedures. Provide clear, succinct and cogent reports to required deadlines to the Board, Committees, the Chief Exec, Management Teams & key stakeholders as required.

Ideal Candidate:
You will need to have a proven track record at a senior level of leading staff within an IT environment, successful track record of implementation with delivery on time and to budget. This role requires strong strategic experience and approach, as well as being an expert in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Developing, implementing and managing strategies and plans aligned to key business objectives, showing a comprehensive awareness of existing and developing technologies and how they can be applied to the business. Ability to recognize business opportunities and present a clear strategic vision of how technology can be applied to the business.
Leading change in an IT environment, managing a customised Dynamics 365 CRM solution, managing cloud services in a Microsoft Office 365 and Azure, contract management, negotiation and monitoring, ability to explain complex IT information clearly to 'lay' managers and other stakeholders, ability to use and manage complex IT systems, and write and present reports.
