Forge Certification / Quality Technician

My Client is a World leader in Forging and Engineering based in Halesowen who are looking for a Quality Technician to join their reputable business. The purpose of the role is to Provide customers certification and conduct stamp for test/test piece identification.

The main duties and responsibilities will be as follows:-

• Compile customer certification to facilitate sale of goods in a timely and accurate manner;

• Liaise with IACS surveyors to complete certification to customer requirements;

• Stamp/identify test pieces;

• Conduct basic contract review to facilitate accurate customer certification;

• Liaise with customers in professional manner on certification requirements;

• Learn basic mechanical testing for certification purposes;

• Deal with F.A.I.R. and Concessions for customers' orders;

• Provide technical support to production and commercial teams on any aspect of documentation;

• Good understanding of all manufacturing processes;

• Support during customer and third party audits;

• Work and adhere to HSE and Environment guidelines on site.

Other requirements as follows:-

• Computer literate;
• Able to work to Engineers Drawings and Technical Specification;
• Good communication skills and a can do attitude;
• Good communication skills and a can do attitude;
• Ability to prioritise and organise work load to order book priorities.

The ideal applicant will have previous experience of working within a forge manufacturing environment together with detailed knowledge of quality systems and standards.

The role is based on working straight days (8:30am-5:00pm Mon to Fri). Excellent remuneration package is offered to include a starting salary of circa £20-25k.
