Job Title: Production Filling Operator ( Chemical)
Location: Lancashire (WN2 3BQ)
Salary: £17,500 + shift allowance
Shifts : Rotating 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm (earlier finishes on Fri for every shift)
Contract Type: Permanent

Filling Operators working on a rotating shift basis will be mainly in the manufacturing area involving operating automatic and semi- automatic filling and packing machines. Sealants, coating and adhesives will be filled into customer defined packaging such as buckets, cartridges and drums which will subsequently be palletised and sent for distribution.
As a Filling Operator, your duties will be:
" Load, unload and operate chemical filling lines.
" Carrying out quality control tests to set methods.
" Competent and confident in using machinery and equipment.
" Maximise productivity from all process equipment by minimising downtime and waste.
" Ensure that the production plan is achieved.
" Monitor, control and record information on all paper and electronic systems.
" Ensure that packaging and labelling specifications are adhered to at all times.
" Undertake any training courses deemed to be necessary to improve skills and abilities.
" Implementing necessary process controls and improvements.
" Ensure effective & timely communication with quality, customer services, planning and other internal customers.
" Undertake process improvement projects, internal audits and cycle counts as required.
