Our client based in the Gloucestershire area is currently looking for an Export Compliance Officer to join them. The Export Compliance Officer will be required to ensure that the business is compliant with all applicable aspects of export control legislation.
*Perform regulatory analysis to determine proper jurisdiction and appropriate export control classification of hardware, software and technology.
*Review technical data proposed for transfer or export to determine the appropriate export control classification and export licence requirements.
*Raise relevant Customs documentation required for exhibitions, demonstrations, trials, supplier returns and exports.
*Act as a focal point for export compliance queries.
*Prepare export licence applications.
*Track status of all export licence requests from internal request to governmental approval.
*Update customer orders in the company ERP system with the appropriate export licence information and export control statements.
Experience and Qualifications:
*Experience in UK export compliance regulations, procedures and documentation.
*Knowledge of US export control regulation would be desirable
*Ability to meet deadlines and manage a varying workload
