Job Description

Currently we are working with a Higher Education business to source them a new Project Manager, to join their business on a full time, 12 month Fixed Term Contract. With Sussex having a diverse community of over 17,000 students, this business is representing over 100 different nationalities and takes huge pride in being surrounded by a spectacular National Park. Lastly the business operates a very flexible working policy, which will allow you to work from home once a week and/or have the flexibility to start or leave work early

ROLE SUMMARY

The ideal candidate will have project management experience and practical experience in project delivery, as they will play an integral role in overseeing delivery of the HR Transformation Programme. You will also have experience of delivering change within Higher Education or a knowledge intensive organisation, and be highly organised in order to drive the project workstream.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Overseeing the delivery of the HR Transformation Programme
* Drive the project workstreams including: IT, The manual process, People Engagement, Branding, Automation, Social Media and EVP (Employer Value Proposition)
* You will need to ensure the identification and tracking of key project milestones and communicating with key stakeholders
* Working with the project team to ensure the delivery of key project milestones on time and within budget, resource and policy
* Working closely with HR to ensure smooth implementation and handover project activity to business as usual at the appropriate point
* Monitor and report on project progress, present to stakeholders reports on project status, identifying any problems and offering solutions
* Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
* Foster partnership with customers/stakeholders/sponsors

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

* Project management qualification or equivalent experience
* Practical project management knowledge
* Good communications skills, with customers, team and stakeholders, with a customer-focused mind-set
* Excellent decision-making and leadership competences
* Experience and knowledge of contract negotiation
* An understanding and experience with Business Analytical and Process design skills
* Experience with reports on project progress, offers viable solutions and opportunities as they arise
