As the Defect Management Coordinator, you will liaise and communicate with the Highway Authorities to investigate and action any defective reinstatement notifications under the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and the Traffic Management Act (TMA). This is a full and varied role and you will be responsible for daily activities which will provide you the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and develop your skills in a busy operational environment.
This key position is required to ensure accurate and timely processing of information provided by Highway Authorities in order to maintain good relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and contributes towards maintaining excellent H&S standards on operational sites.

What will this role involve?
Processing standard defects received within timescale.
Data entry and using company systems to update information.
Working closely with contractors/partners on a daily basis.
Liaising with Highway Authorities in order to process urgent defects received via both telephone/email and passing onto relevant partner/contractor within SLA.
Actively manage own partner/contractor and drive performance on outstanding defects.

We are seeking an individual who is a self-starter and is used to working flexibly and juggling a number of priorities.
You will have strong IT skills and be highly competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) and willingness to learn and use other business systems and databases. Strong numeracy skills are also required.
This is an ongoing temporary assignment with the UKs largest sewerage and water company. There may be opportunity to be placed in to a permanent role in the business.
We are offering £11.75 per hour. The working hours for the role are flexible; standard working hours are 08:00am to 16:00pm, Monday - Friday, however, the role would also suit part-time hours (to cover school run), 09:15am to 14:45pm Monday - Friday.
