My client, an innovative construction business, who specialise in the design and project management of steel building construction are seeking an experience Construction Manager to join their business based in Gloucestershire.

The role is a key function within the company and will entail interaction with a broad range of business functions and processes.

To co-ordinate the safe, cost effective, timely and efficient provision of the various services and entire product range including not only the core steel building product but to also encompass Demolition, Groundworks, Drainage, Steel Building Supply, Steel Building Construction, Fit Out and other products and services that the Company deems to offer at any time.

The successful Construction manager will be tasked with:

*Assisting with all project related personnel and activity including project planning, time frame estimates, expediting of component and service deliveries, co-ordinating construction and service teams and ensure the timely combination of workforce and materials suitable for safe and cost effective construction.
*To ensure the correct, cost effective, timely, quality and safe site works.
*Compile site and project specific Risk Assessment and Method Statements
*An ability to thoroughly understand the range of technical drawings, processes and construction methods employed, proposing better methods and cost saving solutions wherever possible
*Act to expedite potential delays due to labour, quality, weather, material issues etc
*Maintain all necessary site logs, health and safety registers, toolbox talks, inductions etc. as necessary
*Assist with any relevant training

You should possess the following skills/abilities

*First Aid
*Good communication skills both face to face and by phone/email
*Decision maker
*'Can-do' and flexible approach
*Good levels of numerate and written skills
*Commercial acumen
*Word, Excel and Access
*Knowledge of ISO9001 would be advantageous
