Job Description

As an Chemical Engineer you will directly reporting into the Engineering department for an organisation who have been in business for over a century. You will be responsible for the initiation, design and implementation of plant modification proposals and act as a lead for various projects. The role is an integral part of their organisation. The role will enable you to showcase your skills as an Graduate Chemical Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
o Initiation, design, implementation and commissioning of Plant Modification Proposals.
0 Complete all relevant Hazard Assessments and HAZOPs
0 Carry out calculations, decide and implement testing programmes to obtain further data, revise designs accordingly.
0 Maintaining the risk assessment record system.
0 Ensure all work is complying with Statutory Regulations and Codes of Practice.
0 Liaise with the Project Engineering division to help design the plant , layout, costing and proposals.
0 Act as the Chemical Engineering expert on Process Improvement Groups.
0 Advise customers, contractors, Engineers and Consultants on technical matters.
0 Act as Project Leader to specific projects.

Qualifications and Aptitudes:
To be successful in this role you will already have several years experience working as an Chartered or working towards being a Chartered Chemical Engineer.
Further more your experience will encompass some of the following key metrics;
o Experience working within a Chemical Manufacturer as an Chemical Engineer or a Chartered Chemical Engineer
o Several years of experience in Polymer Chemicals, High Impact Chemicals and Speciality Fine Chemicals.
o Must have a Chemical Engineering Degree or Masters Degree.
o Must be a Chartered Chemical Engineer or be actively working towards Chartered Engineering status.
o Previous experience in developing new processes and improving existing ones.
o On-plant Experience in commissioning and experience in relief system sizing
o Experience of DSEAR and DIERS methodology
o Experience of SIL and LOPA Assessments
