Our client are a global engineering organisation specialising in a number of different industries with a multi billion £ turnover. This particular division specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of measurement and analytical equipment used for the measurement and analysis of liquids and gases in a number of market segments.

Main Responsibilities
 Maintain approvals throughout the product life cycle for existing products across also PMU global manufacturing UK for designed products. Ensure all declarations and approvals are complete and current for each product.
 Manage the implementation of global product approvals in-line with the NPI programme.
 Coordinate the annual road map of certification agreed with Product Management and Sales, maintain the database of requirements and report regularly on status. Deal effectively with adhoc requirements.
 Act as the knowledge base for internal stakeholders and customers and coordination support to ensure all certification requirements are achieved.
 Act as main point of contact for certification/approvals for notified bodies and customers and coordinate audits, assessments and design reviews. Cooperate closely with approval authorities ensuring efficient planning and costs of testing in-line with business needs.
 Maintain all product and project certification files, databases and associated records and reports.
 Regularly assess impact of new directives and standards on MPUK and incorporate changes into design definitions and approval processes, updating the road map as required.
 Promote certification requirements and methodology internally and externally by maintaining a high profile across the business. Work closely with global MP certification engineers to ensure good coordination across the BU network.
 Maintain ISO9K and related documented management systems, acting as coordinator for BSI and related approval bodies and main point of contact for third party and customer audit and assessment. Coordinate internal and associated auditing and ensure all corrective actions are effectively managed.
 Engage in wider quality assurance activity to support the business including configuration control, customer complaints, audit and root cause investigation.

Qualifications
 Degree level qualified (Science, Manufacturing or Engineering subject) or HNC/HND

Desirable
 Knowledge of SAP
