Working 22.5 hours per week the hours would be 10.30am till 6.30pm.
Purpose of the role:
To assist with the service of patient lunches and evening supper by plating up meals which have been prepared by the Chef in advance.
To assist generally in the preparation of the kitchen and its equipment at all times maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness. To clear and clean all equipment, utensils and premises to the required standard using both manual and automated cleaning techniques.
To serve / plate up patient meals at lunchtime and supper which have been prepared for by the chef on duty.
To comply with both statutory and Myton Hospice hygiene and health and safety requirements.
To undertake all aspects of cleaning catering equipment, walls and floors, fixtures and fittings, pots and pans, cutlery, crockery, glassware etc, to the required standard according to the cleaning rota or as required or directed.
To ensure all tables and appointments are hygienically cleaned and adequately stocked during service times.
To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and general cleanliness is maintained, compliant with both statutory and Myton Hospice requirements.
To assist, from time to time, with special functions, some of which may occur outside normal working hours. (Remuneration or time off in lieu will apply on such occasions)
To assist at times with food preparation, as required.
Assist with the stocking of vending machine when required.
To report any customer compliments or complaints to the Catering management.
To immediately report any incidents, including infestation, accidents, equipment or facility failure or damage.
