Job Description

Our client, a leading furniture manufacturer in the Accrington area is looking to recruit Cabinet Makers for their busy workshop.

As a Cabinet Maker in the Bespoke Department, the role will be to carry out all aspects of Production within that department. You may also be required to assist in the design and prototyping of future projects. You will guarantee that production remains a smooth and efficient process and that the finished product is complete to the standards the company expects and in the time frame allocated to the job. You will also be expected to monitor the progress of the production and report to your Supervisor if at any time you feel delivery dates are at threat. You will then assist the Supervisor in finding the relevant solution. You should be able to optimise day-to-day activities whilst minimising costs. The goal of the Cabinet Maker is to ensure that Bespoke Production is carried out in a timely manner and to the best quality to maximise profitability and ensure repeat orders where possible.


 Job Description
  • Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
  • Quality check production output according to given specifications
  • Identify any issues in efficiency and suggest improvements via your line manager
  • Assist Supervisor in training new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
  • Support the Department Supervisor in decision making to achieve production deadlines
  • Support Department Supervisors to collectively achieve company targets
  • Responsible for carrying out all bespoke production tasks
  • Occasional site work to assist in the installation of the Bespoke Items
  • Responsible for keeping the Bespoke Department clean
  • Identify and rectify any faults and inform Supervisor as priority
  • Work in an efficient and timely manner
  • Responsible for Health & Safety in and around the factory
  • Responsible for the upkeep and wearing of own PPE
  • Assist in keeping your work space clean & tidy
  • Any other duties required by Fuse in relation to the production of products

Essential Experience and Skills
  • Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
  • Organisational abilities
  • Communication and Interpersonal skills 
  • Self-Motivated with a results driven approach 
  • Problem Solving Skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours to ensure deadline are met 
  • Joinery / Furniture Qualification and/or relevant experience 

Driving Licence — Desirable (some travel to site may be required)

Hours of Work
  • Mon to Thur - 06:45 -15.45
  • Fri - 06.45 - 10.45
  • 38hrs per week
  • 28 days holiday per year including Bank Holidays
Some flexibility towards the above hours will be required due to the demands of project work  At times, Overtime may be compulsory to ensure customer needs are met
May require some travel
