Job Description

Reporting to the Technical Sales Manager this role will be consisting of New Business Development / Account Management.

The main focus will be on value added new business development targeting Automotive, Engineering , electronics and manufacturers with annual spends between £30k to £500k + per annum.

This role will require the jobholder in conjunction with the Sales Manager / General Manager to create opportunities using solution/value based selling to meet the new business requirements of the Peterborough Sales Strategy. The key focus will be heavy-duty and conventional corrugated material with some composite components.

The key responsibilities will include:

Agree sales strategy for territory.

Identify and win new business in accordance with this strategy

Establish and develop relationships with some existing accounts and new business prospects Meet agreed targets for new business growth from selected customers.

Understand the customer's business model and processes to identify new opportunities for the

business and to add value to both the business and customer.

Active involvement in marketing and promotional activities within site and the wider regional sector

Provide area report to ensure that all customer and competitor activities are brought to the management's attention.

Work in conjunction with and provide support as required to the Sales/Business Development/Account Management/Technical/Design functions.

Follow agreed company procedures

The ideal candidate will:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a new business sales role.

Be experienced in dealing with Conventional and Heavy Duty materials within a manufacturing customer base

Have good commercial and technical awareness and the ability to develop our multi layered sales offering.

Have commercial acumen and awareness where possible Have good knowledge of our specialized customer sectors.
Be solution driven with the ability to frequently come up with new and innovative ideas Be self-motivated and proactive.

Have excellent communicator at all levels within a business.
