Our client, a UK wide fleet solutions company with over 25 years' experience are currently recruiting for Paint Sprayer's to join their team due to continued company growth. This position will be based in their Bedford depot.

Job Summary:
The role of Team Leader - Panel Production is to ensure the flow and standards of work are maintained and held. The Team Leader - Panel Production assesses productivity whilst trying to encourage and improve on team performance by setting an example of standards of work and behaviour. The Team Leader - Panel Production will also work closely with other departments of the Bodyshop and must possess excellent communication skills to enable good working relations with other team members. The ability to ensure operational procedures and processes are followed correctly whilst giving attention to detail, accuracy, speed and above all ensuring the standard of repair meets with our customers expected standards.
Key duties within this position include:
*Monitor the flow of day to day operations for the panel preppers and outliners
*Allocate and prioritise work to meet deadlines
*Manage workloads for the team ensuring KPI's are met using the in-house daily W.I.P. report
*Schedule and complete team related paperwork ensuring team members are using in- house electronic management system
*Ensure team members use in-house electronic management system to accurately record all work assigned
*Assist with managing team performance and provide coaching when required
*Assist in cost control efforts
*Prepare vehicles ready to be re-sprayed ensuring correct formulations, preparation methods, application sequence, timing and material usage
*Repair damaged bodywork, dents or corroded area
*Strip and fit trim and panel interior
*Correct use of any specialised pulling equipment provided by the Company
*Ensure correct degreasing and cleaning materials are being used
*Correct use of abrasive materials
*Remove corrosion
*Correct application and flatting of fillers and stoppers
*Mask repairs
*Primer application to areas that need to be treated
*Correct use of sealers
*Be able to identify plastic repairs and refinishing
*Have the correct product knowledge for plastic repairs i.e. adhesion promotors, flexible additives, fillers and stoppers
*Able to assess and identify different finished coatings i.e. textures
*Prepare wheels ready for refurbishment
*Jack up vehicles and remove wheels
*Remove and refit tyres
*Wheel balancing
*Paint wheels ensuring correct colour match
*Refit wheels ensuring correct tyre pressure and torque
*Ensure all team members perform quality control checks on completion of work to ensure no defects
*Identify rectification issues, ensure they are recorded correctly and rectified immediately and reported to Line Manager
*Ensure you and your team members adhere to all requirements for hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal
*Carry out regular checks on tools and equipment to ensure safe operational use
*Consistently utilise all required safety equipment and P.P.E.
*Maintain a clean and organised work environment
*Ensure you and your team members comply with the Company's Health and Safety requirements
*Ensure ongoing awareness of up to date products/repair methods and relate to team members
*Attend meetings when necessary
*Attend company arranged medicals and follow all necessary guidance given or provided
*Report any deterioration in health and vision to your Line Manager without delay

Qualifications/Experience required:
*Relevant qualification i.e. ATA, NVQ, BTEC, City & Guilds and/or a minimum of three years' experience in a similar role
*Proven experience in leading a team
*Solid understanding of vehicle safety procedures
*Solid understanding of vehicle refurbishment/body repair processes
*Excellent communication skills
*Demonstrate a commitment to continued learning by participating in on-going training and any other industry related training requirements
*Able to meet targets and deadlines
*Comply with Health and Safety requirements and legislation
*Maintain a positive working relationship with all members of staff
*Highly motivated and able to inspire and motivate others
*Willingness to travel to other Company sites as required
