My client, a large manufacturer which operates in the automotive industry is currently looking for an Automation Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.

We are seeking an innovative, creative, forward thinker who is technically capable in developing automation systems (including robotics experience) to join our successful Manufacturing Engineering team.
The Automation Technology Engineering Team will be responsible for the development and integration of a range of advanced robotic, automation, assembly, inspection, and metrology technologies.
You will be working with multi-million pound equipment to shape the future of production at the plant. You will use your innovative, creativity and quick learning to problem solve and develop innovative solutions.
The successful candidate will be;
*Degree qualified within a relevant engineering discipline
*A proven work history of close collaboration in multi-functional teams to ensure the highest level of quality and cost-efficiency in design
*A minimum of 5 years' experience of developing and commissioning complex automation systems
*Drive technical discussions and automation implementation processes and problem solving
*Support the development of the plant strategic direction of automation levels within
*manufacturing, b) assembly, and c) test
*Facilitate and support the numerous manufacturing processes and control systems within operations
*Analyse project requirements and perform technical calculations supporting electrical requirements, motor and drive controls, robots and robotic safety standards
*Programming capability or strong working knowledge of PLC's would be advantageous
*Experience of installing collaborative robots into an automotive facility would be an advantage
*Experience of vision systems and integrations into automation systems is required.
*International travel will be required periodically
*Enthusiasm for Automation is essential!
*Proactive, resourceful and highly motivated within good communication skills and ability to work in a high output environment
