Job Description

An International News Broadcasting Network based in the London Bridge area are in need of an Assistant Regional Accountant working on a temporary basis for 12 months . The role will be working from their highly prestigious offices in the Finance Compliance Department.

Pay rate: £15 per hour
Time: Full Time
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 12 Months
Location: London Bridge, London

Job Summary:
The role is part of the team responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate accounting function, providing day-to-day bookkeeping support for the Network and assisting in the reporting of departmental budgets. Being based in the Regional Finance section- Europe the role will be liaising with Banks, Foreign Bureaus Consultant, News, International Operations and the Foreign Bureau.

Main Responsibilities:
  • High volume multi-currencies invoice entry, payments and remittance advices
  • Maintain an efficient and accurate accounting function
  • Verify calculations and input codes in to the accounting system in an accurate manner
  • Ensure all invoices and expenses claims have the necessary approval and supporting documents attached
  • Prepare for BACS, and Telegraphic Bank Transfer (TT) payment
  • Make sure all accounts are up to date and reconciled at all time

Essential Skills and Requirements:
  • Studying AAT or studying towards ACCA.
  • Knowledge or experience of SAP or Sage line 50
  • Experience working within a finance/accounts department
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Able to handle a large database of suppliers/freelancers accounts
  • Able to work with multicurrency
Desirable skills and Requirement:
  • High standard of customer service, providing prompt and accurate information when dealing with employees and suppliers
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of the International Broadcasting Services
