You will be working in a year 5/6 classroom at a school in Codsall where pupils are proud to be members of the school community. They enjoy coming to school and rarely miss a day. They respect you and they respect each other. When they are in lessons, they know that they are there to learn, take pride in their work and behave well in lessons, allowing you to teach uninterrupted.
The most common comments made by pupils when asked about school are that ‘lessons are fun’ and ‘teachers help you learn’. Teachers have good subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for engaging pupils’ interest. Your pupils will look forward to learning in the classroom, more so as you are encouraged to enrich the delivery of the curriculum with memorable experiences that link to your current theme.
The school is based in the Codsall area of South Staffordshire, and they are recruiting a Year 5/6 Class Teacher (QTS) for an ASAP start. They currently hold a full-time permanent role, for a KS2 Class Teacher. A January start will be considered for the right candidate. Early Career Teachers (ECT) are encouraged to apply for an opportunity to progress in their careers.
To be successful in your application, you should;
• Hold a relevant UK Teaching qualification QTS
• Have knowledge of the UK Primary Curriculum
• Be able and willing to travel to the Codsall area
• Have high expectations of yourself in your career and the children you teach
