Year 5 & 6 Teacher

Do you have a proven experience working with children in Year 5 and 6? Are you looking for a position that enables you to inspire, be a leader and take leadership in your role?

We are recruiting for a committed Teacher to work with our clients that are in the midst of some of the most challenging, and rewarding times of the year for not only staff but it's pupils, as they prepare for their mock exams and SATS. We are looking for someone who is wanting to build on their experience and skills. To work with an experienced bank of teachers and teaching assistants to help motivate a generation to strive for excellence in whatever they pursue.

You will be supported throughout your time to help ensure you are performing to the best of your teaching ability.

The role will require you to be available full time from Monday to Friday up until the Christmas break. There may even be an opportunity for the right candidate to be extended into the Spring period if found to be an outstanding addition to the school.

The role would require you to be Planning and preparing lessons and to teach the pupils, from the specifications of the framework which would be provided by the school. Attending staff meetings are compulsory, as you will be required to liaise with teachers and teaching assistants alike to ensure you are supported and upholding the values of the school ethos and values of the community and colleagues. This will be essential to gain an understanding of any upcoming events within the school such as open days, teacher training days, school trips and updates within the school. As this role will be up until the end of term you will be required to produce end of term reports and pay will be reflective of position and responsibilities.

The duties and responsibilities of this role will be as follows:

Reading, writing and SPAG support.
Adjusting or breaking down activities to support participation and understanding.
Develop a supportive relationship with the children that promotes self esteem and confidence.
To develop knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical, emotional and behavioural needs of the child and respond to them effectively.
To liaise with the Teachers and SENCO about the development and support needed at home and in school for the children.
Monitor and maintain records of the pupils progress.
To assist with general school duties which may include setting up classrooms, preparing resources and displays and tidying and clearing away
Supervision of children during lunch times and Supervision of children entering and leaving school premises. Essential Requirements:

Knowledge of development matters
Must be an outgoing individual with an ability to engage with pupils and keep them motivated
Must be able to work collaboratively and competently within a team
Must have childcare Level 2 or above.
An understanding of SEN or learning needs.
Knowledge of the new KS2 curriculum.Desirable Requirements:
