Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Manager to join a highly successful hydraulic company based in West Yorkshire. This is a hands on role where you'll be responsible for overseeing and running the service department as well as overseeing and providing technical support to a team of workshop engineers and personnel. You shall also be tasked with handling all relevant paperwork including method statements and risk assessments as well as ensuring health and safety is adhered to at all times. In this role you will be required to have good communication skills, previous man management experience and hold strong decision making skills.

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Oversee and manage a team of engineers and workshop staff
• Manage and oversee service department
• Promote product development and company standards
• Provide on-going technical support, carrying out service, repair and maintenance work on all machinery
• Manage all paperwork including method statements and risk assessments


Requirements of Role:

• An engineering background is essential
• Ideal candidate must hold previous work experience and hold a strong understanding of Hydraulics, Electrics, Mechanics, Welding and Fabrication
• Knowledge of cranes, plant machinery, HGV's or construction equipment is essential
• Proven experience in managing a team
• Excellent communication and decision making skills required
