Opportunity is around the corner as Pertemps are working in partnership with a well-established company based in NEWARK, recruiting for a WORKSHOP MANAGER (Engineering Workshop Manager / Engineering Manager) to join their enthusiastic team.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)

Scope and Purpose of the Role

To manage all aspects of the Workshop Operation and to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. To provide a point of contact for all matters regarding our client's workshop in order to ensure a safe, healthy and profitable environment

Key Duties and Accountabilities (will include but not be limited to)

To ensure continued and improved efficiency of Workshop operations.
To ensure Workshop requirements are carried out in line with company and departmental procedures.
To ensure that Workshop Operations meet and adhere to Health and Safety standards identified by the client's Health and Safety policy.
To actively promote and implement safe systems of work within the Workshop operation.
To ensure sufficient cover is provided to respond to incoming customer service requirements.
To ensure that sufficient cover is provided for the timely and professional administration of service requests.
To ensure that all customer service requests are responded to in an efficient, timely and professional method.
To actively promote aftersales service to customers of our client.
To ensure sufficient engineer cover for Workshop operations, including weekend and out of hours activity.
To manage and coordinate Workshop Technicians to ensure efficient and professional support to customer requirements.
To liaise with the Operations Manager to ensure the efficient use of Engineers time to meet customer service requirements.
To be available to colleagues at all reasonable times via phone or email.

Key Experience and Qualifications:

A degree in HND/HNC in an Engineering discipline
NVQ Level 3 or good previous knowledge could be considered
A thorough working knowledge of running a busy workshop
Experience in current Health & Safety requirements.

This role would be ideal for candidates that has worked in an Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering environment as a Workshop Manager, Engineering Supervisor, Engineering Team Leader or similar.
