Job Title: Workshop Controller
Location: Bedford
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-4pm (overtime as required)
Salary: £28,000 - 32,000

Summary
Our client, a UK wide fleet solutions company with over 25 years' experience are currently recruiting for a Workshop Controller to join their team due to continued company growth. This position will be based in their Bedford depot.

Job Summary:
Demonstrate Leadership, Organisational and Work Progress Control methods that fully support and maximise job efficiency. Be responsible for the effective and consistent output of all Mechanical Inspections, PDI's, Warranty, Service & Mechanical Repairs and the Quality of all work from the Mechanical Workshop. Maintain accurate and up to date records within the in house Systems and Procedures.

Key duties within this position include:
*Organise and manage the daily workflow in line with targets, quality standards and Customer SLA's / KPI's
*Utilise the systems and procedures to a proficient standard to include:
oE Workshop
oT.I (Techinspect)
oTelephone & Email communications
*Promote and maintain effective communications with the Parts; Customer Care, Workshop Admin and Logistics teams to ensure that workflow is seamlessly maintained
*Specifically liaise with the Parts Controller to ensure that all parts ordered are proactively allocated to the relevant job or promptly returned to the Parts Dept for credit
*Escalate any delays, work process or staff issues to Technical Operations Manager
*Report any sub-standard work identified to the Technical Operations Manager
*Ensure that manufacturer's warranty procedures are adhered to and processed promptly
*Support the training and development of Staff and Apprentice Technicians
*Comply with Company and statutory safety rules whilst actively engaged in workshop activities
*Support H&S activities to ensure statutory legal and Company compliance and participate in COSHH; Risk Assessments and Site Audits
