Our client is currently based in Harlow due to a rapid growth the depot will be relocating to Luton. They are a leading Plant Hire organisation that is continuously growing. They offer a personal one stop solution within the industry and pride themselves on the level of expertise within the company. A range of services within Plant and Tool hire are provided.
The purpose of your role will be to support the repair and maintenance of hire fleet accessories and equipment.
As a Welder/Fabricator you will maintain and repair equipment on behalf of the client. You will also be involved in the design and manufacturing of parts and new machine builds.
" Work on instruction to Repair and Maintain equipment on Customers sites and in Yard
" Work as part of design team on Manufacturing of parts or Machinery
" To ensure that they and all other parties work in a safe manner
" Ensure all tools and equipment they use are in a fit for purpose condition
" Correct PPE is to be worn at all times, including Task Specific PPE
" Work place is always clean and safe
" Proactively intervene to stop Near Misses and report to Line Manager
" Follow Safe Systems of Work
" Handle COSHH and Waste in line with Safe Systems of Work and dispose of using facilities supplied by the client
" Worksheets are to record accurately all details requested and must be completed in full.
" Identify ways to work safer & smarter
" Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and have a high level of initiative to make improvements.
" Very organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise work load.
" Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a positive can-do attitude
" Excellent team player with exceeding organisational and people's skills and is engaging and has a down to earth approach
" Work well under pressure and has an ability to support the business managing customer expectations to avoid over promising and under delivering.
" Enjoys the challenge of solving problems and initiating better ways of doing things
" Ability to work in a fast pace environment and cope with high a level of customer expectation
" Ability to see solutions to problems and then bring through design to build
" Calm, Personable, resilient methodical and professional
" Honesty, Integrity and willingness to learn and grow within the business
" City & Guilds Tool Maker or NVQ equivalent
" 5+ Years' experience
" Able to read design drawings
" Able to create prototypes
" Involved in design & Build
" CNC experience would be advantageous but not essential
