MAG Fillet/Butt Welding
Lydney, Gloucestershire
PERM - Salary up to £27,949 Basic + OT + Benefits
Shift Pattern : The shifts are 12 hour @ 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off. There is the possibility off overtime to boost their hour
We are looking to recruit for 2 Welders on a permanent basis based in our clients manufacturing facility in Lydney, Gloucestershire. We are looking for skilled welder to undertake fabrication and welding of steel components using jigs. You must be able to read drawings and weld MIG/MAG on structural assemblies.
Job role:
*To fabricate and weld a variety of products meeting both quality and production efficiency targets.
*An understanding of welding using automated welding systems (robots).
*To weld products to set welding codes both in manual and automated formats.
*To assist our Engineering Department to further develop our processes and procedures.
*To use machinery, overhead cranes and systems in a safe manner in accordance with current company and health & safety legislation.
*Maintain excellent levels of housekeeping so the production department facilities and company assets are kept clean and tidy at all times.
*Relevant environmental aspects of the production department and factory operations are adhered to in all respects of the company policy and other relevant legislation.
*Complete appropriate paper or electronic documentation accurately and in sufficient time to enable company records to be kept up to date.
*To demonstrate high levels of flexibility and possess a positive attitude towards future training and development.
*Be prepared to work overtime or differing shift patterns from time to time should the business require it.
*Display commitment through good time and attendance performance.
*Report unsafe acts, near misses and accidents for the common good of all colleagues.

*A background in welding is essential. Qualified time served either formally or via experience and Coded to BSEN 287-1 mig/mag
*A proven record of fabrication working in a heavy engineering background, good time management, organisation, planning and communication skills. Competent at Risk Assessments.
*Knowledge of robotic welding would be beneficial but not essential as training will be given
