Pertemps Scotland Ltd are working with our client in central Edinburgh to recruit for Web and Social Media Assistant on a temporary basis for around 2 months. The roles are full time and the rate of pay is £11.96 per hour.

Full-time - 37 hours. Monday to Friday

Communication skills, including digital communication

Essential

Ability to communicate with a range of audiences through different mediums
Ability to explain / pass on complex or detailed information accurately and clearly
Excellent IT skills and the ability to pick-up and work with new and bespoke packages
Understanding of and experience in using social-media channels (particularly Twitter, Facebook and Instagram)
Experience in using online editing and monitoring software (such as Hootsuite Enterprise)
Experience of creating and publishing web content using a content-management system

Desirable

Experience in creating content using image- or video/audio-editing tools
Experience in digital marketing, particularly using social media for paid-for promotion
Experience in data analysis using tools such as Google Analytics or Facebook Insights.

Organising and delivery

Good time management and ability to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines
The ability to balance and prioritise competing demands with the foresight to plan ahead and to anticipate workload peaks
Ability to work flexibly and responsively in a fast-paced changing environment. The role will require some evening and weekend work on the days when the Festival of Politics takes place.
