Role Responsibilities:

Planning, coordinating, order assembly and dispatching of goods

Having a clear understanding of the Company's policies and vision
Operate specialty machinery to fabricate, manufacture and assemble products
Maintain, monitor and understand how machine works to make sure it functions properly
Periodically conduct quality checks
Ordering adequate materials and supplies are available for machines & warehouse
Coordinating the use of automated and computerized systems where necessary
Keeping stock control systems up to date and making sure inventories are accurate
Planning future capacity requirements

Organising the recruitment and training of warehouse staff as well as monitoring staff performance and progress

Assisting in the development and delivery of induction and ongoing training program for all staff in the warehouse department

Supervising, motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded

Producing regular reports and statistics on a weekly/monthly basis
Providing regular reports and briefings to senior management
Liaising with the Office Manager & Managing Director on a regular basis
Maintaining and ensuring Health & Safety standards are met
Overseeing the order fulfilment process ensuring all special customer requirements are met
Overseeing all deliveries ensuring all processes are kept
Opening and closing the warehouse
Day to day maintenance and security of the warehouse


Preferably engineering background or other similar qualifications a plus

Forklift license is beneficial but not required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of the legal requirements of operating a warehouse
Knowledge and experience of Health and Safety

People management skills, including the ability to lead and motivate others, delegate work and explain ideas

Planning and organising skills

Working on own initiative and team work ability
Enthusiasm and must be flexible
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office
Problem - solving skills and an ability to work on a tactical and strategic level
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Work Experience:

Experience of working in a team and dealing with people in a warehouse setting
Experience working in a similar position


£28,000 - £30,000 a year (DOE)

28 days holiday including Bank Holidays

Work Hours:

40 hours per week, Mondays - Thursdays 06:30am - 16:30pm & Fridays 06:30am - 13:30pm

Working hours for supervisors can be heavier in the high seasons and also can be asked to work some weekends as a result of exhibitions & trade shows
