As a Vehicle Technician you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is your opportunity to join Babcock as a Vehicle Technician and become part of a high performing team. You will be required to diagnose, maintain and carry out repairs on a wide range of sophisticated military equipment ranging from a Landrover to a Challenger 2 main battle tank.
We are looking for someone to positively support and assist the management team in achieving positive outcomes within specified timeframes for our customer. As part of the team, you will be an enthusiastic and driven individual looking for something a bit different to the norm, who will deliver their best with the ability to support and encourage colleagues to achieve the same high standards.
Day to day, you'll be responsible for conducting in depth diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical work on a wide range of equipment (on the job training and courses available) including modifications where required, read and utilise and repair manuals and modern diagnostic schematics through modern media assets as required.
You will also conduct servicing, repair and maintenance activities as per the manufacturer's instructions and publications and ensure all equipment Job Cards are completed accurately and correctly.

Essential experience
Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification, NVQ or City & Guilds
Minimum 2 years' experience in a busy workshop environment
Desired experience
Diagnostic Technician qualification or significant proven diagnostic experience
Hold a current category 'B' license
Competent at utilising laptops and diagnostic computers
You must hold or have ability to obtain SC security clearance
