The Vehicle Mechanic is based within our Aviation business area.

The role

The difference our new Vehicle Mechanic will make

As a Vehicle Mechanic you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Day to day, you'll help with the servicing and maintenance of equipment, the work will be both scheduled and unscheduled. You will carry out routine inspections in accordance with Technical Publications within all Health and Safety guidelines.

This includes ensuring that appropriate clothing is worn, and that Personal Protective Clothing (PPE) is used (PPE is provided). You will ensure work areas are always clean and free from hazards and ensure that all Team-work areas are maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition, following agreed "Safe Systems of Work".

Essential experience
City and Guilds Craft Studies 381 or equivalent.
Obtain or have the ability to obtain SC Clearance
Good hand skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Able to work on own initiatives with defined guidelines.
Good communication skills.
Good organisational skills.
