They supply to a variety of market sectors including local and central government, infrastructure services, highways, utilities, rail and facilities management.
You will be joining SHB's team as an apprentice Vehicle Body Repairer, benefitting from workplace and off site residential training.
SHB, in partnership with Remit are offering a number of apprenticeship places across their UK depot network.
This is an opportunity to join a Remit supported apprenticeship programme which will see you become a qualified Vehicle Body Repairer. This is an 18 month apprenticeship which will result in the successful candidate gaining the VRQ and VCQ Level 2 certificates in Vehicle Paint.
As a vehicle body repairer you would be involved in a variety of tasks ranging from:
*Job cards and assessment reports
*Panel removal, repair and refit
*Chassis alignment techniques
*Welding and joining
Part of this programme will include travelling to Remit's Academy based near Pride Park in Derby, on a 5-day block release 4 times over the 18-month apprenticeship. You will also be assigned an Apprentice Development Coach who will visit you in the workplace, every 4-6 weeks, as part of the commitment to your development and to ensure you succeed.
Accommodation, and transport from the Apprentice's home location to Derby is paid for by the employer, and the Apprentices stay in a local hotel during each block.
