Due to a large company expansion they are currently recruiting for a number of different positions across the business.

Job Description of a UK Sales Manager

The postholder will develop new business through hands-on interaction with potential strategic customers and extend profitable relationships with existing Key Accounts. 

The position includes the following primary areas of interaction; New Business Development, Sales and Marketing of OEM platform products. Functional areas within these groups include market analysis, existing account management, proposal development, new product roadmap, applications engineering and technical marketing, identifying new opportunities that bring value to both the company and its customers.

Achieving targets for revenue, profitability and sales growth by build sales leads, prospects and relationships with potential customers in key markets in North America

Assist customers, by identifying their needs, handling technical queries, agreeing specifications, engineering adaptations of products, equipment and services

Monitor and manage Business Development, Sales and Marketing department budgets as necessary

Contribute to the Development and management of the Marketing Communications plan, coordinating trade shows, advertisement strategy, publications and press releases

Qualify leads; present timely, accurate, and competitive proposals; follow-up; negotiate contracts and close deals

Manage the preparation of proposals, presentations, and RFP responses

Skills & experience of a UK Sales Manager

The postholder will have at least 10 years management level technical sales experience in a technology markets with a customer orientated manufacturing company on an international level.

As a pre-requisite you must demonstrate the ability to produce rapid and substantial sales growth within a technological environment.

Be commercially aware, result orientated with proven track record in achieving respected and sustainable business relationships with key accounts.

A self starter, able to respond promptly to demanding and immediate client requirements.

Able to execute and implement sales and marketing strategies to fully maximise on potential new and existing markets and sales opportunities.

Experience working in an entrepreneurial, highly collaborative and high paced environment

Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals, working flexible hours as needed. (Approximately 25% travel required)

B.S. (MS preferred) or equivalent in related technology (Electrical Engineer, Physics, etc)

Experience of battery/charger design markets would be an advantage
